What the hell is going on there!

It was only at the end of last week that the car park to the back of Winstons and the BOI was newly tarmacadamed and now they are digging it up again in places. It will probably re repatched next week. Who fecks up the work schedule? Surely the people who are digging down through it now should have been brought in before the new tarmac went down. Nice to know that the household charge will be used on useful things like redoing new work though.:mad:

I doubt anybody in the council will lose their job or even be reprimanded over this wasting of council funds.

Any work the council has done of late is a shambles and the dogs on the street it is only to look busy and show on their balance sheets that they are spending their budget. Cycle lanes put in everywhere, great, thats the way forward. But, the lanes are broken every so often by bollards (College road) and by pedestrian lights (Castlecomer Road) so the cyclist has to get off their bike walk up on foothpath and then on other sides of lights get back on cycle lane. The Dublin Road cycle lane was put on an widened footpath making the road just about accomadate two passing trucks..
