Anyone else entered? Going to do half marathon as part of build up to full one in Cork, try and break 1.40 for once.

Any info on the course, hilly or flat?

I'm planning on running this on saturday as well. I haven't ran this before but I've heard its not a particularly fast course. The link shows some hills, but 374ft gain over 13.1 miles doesn't seem too bad. Hoping for somewhere around the 1.38 myself. Anybody know if they have cups or water bottles at the water stations? €25 is a keen price so I'm guessing cups??

Just from looking at the maps and a vague knowledge of the route it wouldn't be overly hilly. Has to be a lot flatter than the BayRun.

I'm also doing this, doesn't look too hilly at all. Hopefully the weather improves...

1st half marathon: looking for something between 1:45 and 1:50.

Have time for only one long run this weekend. Cork Marathon in 3 weeks. Havent run 20+ miles since connemara marathon on 1st April.

Was planning a 20 mile LSR this weekend. If I run this half competitvely would that be a good enough substitute?

Great day for it. 1.36.33. Pleased with that, first sub 1.40 and thought I was in good shape but nice to see it confirmed. Good organisation, food after, showers, cold tubs etc. thought course quite hilly, none of them too tough just constant. Would def do it again

It was quite hilly, and in most unwelcome places. I found the midsection quite draining. I missed the hot tubs, but enjoyed the event. Lovely weather helped! 1st half, waiting on official time, but clocked myself around 1:49. Delighted. :)

Well done. My first half also, first race of any kind.

Waiting on official time aswell - website says it will be posted. What time does anyone know. Think I did around 1 hr 53.

Can be anytime, have waited days for results, but given how well organised the day was would expect it to be this evening

Just got mine, 01:49:01, also with placement. As for reading the time wrong, I barely knew my own name when I crossed! Well done edhead, excellent stuff for your first race. I probably ran with you for a good bit it! I pushed on from around 8-10 miles, and found myself on my tod for ages!

You should definitely be going for 3:30 so. Great result. Well done.

Think I might alright. Not sure what training I should do over next few weeks though. Not going out and smoking loads of fags tonight would be a good start I guess...but I think I earned my night on the tiles!

No text result for me, and can't see full results anywhere.
