Asking for MAP?

This may seem like a trivial issue, but I am a little guarded and want to be able to ask for the morning after pill in the chemist. I don't want other customers to hear me saying it and knowing my business, is there another way I can rephrase it? I am not even sure of the name to use.

Absolutely, you go in and say this:
"Id like a private consultation with the pharmacist please"

You may have to wait a minute or two but you will be taken to a private area with the pharmacist at which point you say that you want the morning after pill.

You will be asked some questions pertaining to when you had sex, what contraception you used or didnt etc.... (in case you are taking the normal pill as well) and what if any, meds you take.

After that you will be given the map - discreetly.

Dont worry a bit, they deal with it every day, its not a place for moral judgement.

All pharmacies have a small room where you can speak to the pharmacist is private. He/She won't pass any judgement on you, you can be guaranteed the dispense far "worse" (for want of a better word) medication than the MAP.

Ask for the private consultation, and you will be fine.

Thanks for the replies. Just to clarify, I know the procedure. I got one before last year but I felt awkward at the counter asking for it with other customers there.

You posted this at 17.51. Is it safe to assume that you didn't go this evening? In which case you will be waiting another 15 hours before you get it. Not a very smart move.

The longer you leave it the more chance you have of it not working!
