Be interesting to see the sprint finish. Green Edge seem to have a much better train than Sky, which is why Goss was in such a good position when Cav was taken out in the final stage in Denmark. Cav is however, imo, a diff class to every other sprinter in this race and if fully fit I reckon he's good for the win off a very dodgy Sky train. Hopefully Ferrari gets put in a ditch.

i think cav need to stop trying to turn sky into a htc train i dont think its going to happen his first stage win in the giro was enought o prove he doesnt need a big long leadout and if roberto (i dont care what happens behind me) ferrari hadnt taken him out i reckon it would have been close as he was flying at that point.

This Giro is a good test case for Cav and Sky to develop how they will balance their GC man(Uran) with their sprinter which they will do in the Tour de France.
I agree that they shouldn't be trying for a full HTC train, but they positioned Cav poorly on Monday. They let Liquigas set the pace on the front which was clever and allowed them to save energy, but they left them there too long and Saxobank and Greenedge reacted quicker on the technical finish and got their men into prime positions.
It will be interesting to see if they learn anything from that stage(although maybe Cav might not be up to the sprint tomorrow after his crash)

Sky put together a competent lead out for Cav, Thomas delivers him into range, and he ofc makes no mistake........chalk and cheese to stage 3.

It was a second stage win in this year's race for the world champion with the Team Sky sprinter beating Matt Goss and Daniele Bennati to the line at the end of the first road stage in Italy.
Sweet. Had Goss to beat Farrar on the head to head. Similar odds to Cav actually winning the stage.
