    Hi All,

I have cracked my Nexus screen. Does anybody know of anywhere that would be able to repair this at a decent price. At the moment i have tried a few places and the quotes are between 250 and 300.

    Thanks

    What?!?

    For the screen , 250 - 300 ! that's extortion.

I've used fonemenders before off Grafton Street (Dublin) they did it free of charge as it was part of the warranty.

Is it just the digitiser cracked or have you also knackered the display underneath?

Actually I just looked at replacement parts on ebay, the screen and digitiser only come as one and are up for @200 yoyos. Looks like its an expensive mistake and can't be fixed cheap.

Had it in my pocket didnt have a screen protector never banged off anything but i did have keys in the pocket. My advice is to get a screen protector straight away. Looks like it will cost more than i paid for the phone to replace.

did a similar thing with a Nokia 5800 I had a few years ago. Got in the habit of making sure I don't have anything else where I put my phone since.

Did you manage to get your screen fixed?

Just dropped mine in way I've dropped iphone/htc and side is chipped and screen smashed to bits.

I've replaced iphone screens myself before but there doesn't appear to much in the way of parts for galaxy nexus on ebay etc.
