This may be a stupid question but i assume its up to tenants to sort out their own house insurance when renting a house?!

If so are there any places that have good deals for less than 12 months??

    Thanks

The tenant only needs contents and occupier's liability insurance, not buildings insurance.

    Public liability?

Landlord should always insure the structure itself not the contents.
Thats the tenants problem(It's a pain to get as well)
