Try a milder blade or even conversely a sharper blade. DE shaving means you need to find 'your' blade sometimes.

Have you asked Rodger about it? ;)

Sounds like a change in blades is well worth a punt.
You could do worse than to pick up a blade sample pack.
Try a shaper blade, I wouldn't really rate either of those you have tried.
The Personna blades are a good mild blade. For something sharper try the
Gillette super thins or 7 o'clock range.

Am I reading your first post correctly, ou don't shave every day at the moment and are finding the skin irritated 24 hours after shaving? What happens if you shave every day?

Went to my doctor today with my equipment and he explained I was not treating the skin properly after I shaved. He lathered me up and shaved me then gave me the secret (Camomile lotion)...my god its like and orgasim on your face. When I walked out of his office and the wind hit me and it feel really really good. Until his receptionist start calling me back to pay the 60 euro fee:eek:

I will also try new blades but get some camonmile lotion you wont regret it!!

I use aqueous cream instead of soap/foam for shaving and never get any irritation or razor burn, plus it's less that a fiver a large tub in the Chemists, one tub lasts about 3 months, excellent value.

sorry, you use Aqueous cream instead of shave soap/cream?
I know of those who may use it (or Silcock's Base) as a pre/post treatment but never as a replacement for soap/cream.
Fair play to you if it works.

Yep, that or Silcocks Base, works a treat, better than any foam/gels I've tried.

I make a point of soaking the razor in boiling hot water for a good minute or so, makes a hell of a difference, make sure the lather is warm too.
