    hi guys, I am currently employed and really like my job and boss etc but i have come across a job that i would really love to apply for, my problem is on my cv i'm planning to put referee on request but i'm just paranoid that if i put the name of the company i work for, they could just easily google the company and get the contact details, or is this just crazy..?

    its crazy :D

    most decent companies will be able to read the dates on your cv and see that you are still with your employer and wouldnt screw you like that, also no one ever rings for reference unless you have been offered a position and even when you accept it is pending references, so go for it and good luck

    In a similar enough boat myself but I would'nt worry about it just yet. The usual course is not to check references untill after interview stage and they are prepared to offer you the job. However there is always the worry if you are operating in a small industry that your potential employer may know your current employer!!:eek:
