Whats the chance of getting a discount on a new Bmw or audi at this time of year? Never bought one before but dont think there are any discounts. A real Cartel. Does POA mean that they are willing to deal? Does anyone know of a good reccomended dealer?

What models you looking at? Buying a 1 Series is likely to be less of a discount than a 7 Series. This time of the year sales drop so could be a good time to buy.

Best going to as many dealers as possible in either case and seeing what's on offer, if you have nothing to trade in you will get a better deal.

You will definitely get a discount if you are looking at a straight deal no matter what time of year. As said before it depends on the model. Could be any thing from around €1k upwards.

I bought a new bmw X1 in feburary. Priced it both for straight deal and with a trade in, in a few different garages. One dealer was giving a €750 discount for straight deal. Priced same car in a different dealer and they were willing to give €1400. Best bet is to call to as many dealers as possible and get their best price from them.

If you are trading in then i wouldn't be holding my breath for much. Any discount you get will be up to your haggling skills.

If you have a trade-in then any discount will be included in the trade-in price rather than off the price of the new car. So the important figure will be how much the dealer wants with your car for the new one.

520d is leagues ahead of the A4.
