I'm looking for an 8-man tent in Galway for a music festival in England next month. I know it's a bit short notice but I could really appreciate some help from people!

Between us we have about 180 euro to spend on the tent, not much but we got a 6 man tent last year that was 120 and was perfect for us. 2 of the lads took it to oxegen though and destroyed it, plus our group has grown again so wouldn't have been able to use it again anyway.

    Thanks

Only 1 left in Galway though.

Go up to Eyre Square tonight or very early tomorrow morning. A Load of them let lying around up there empty.

You should look into getting it along the way in England. If your passing through Birmingham it's one of the best places in the UK for low prices and deals all over the place.

Are ye flying? Just remember if ye've a cheap flight a big tent might bump up baggage charges. Get it in England if that's the case.

Great Outdoors on Eglington Street might be worth a shot

Thanks for the suggestions, goin to check out great outdoors today to see if there are any cheap tents available. The festival is on in Donington so we're flying into East Midlands which is only 5 minutes away from the festival grounds by taxi. No big stores in Donington and the nearest city is Nottingham which is about 30 pounds away by taxi so getting it out there is out of the question :(

Unlikely to get better value than the Argos tent in Great Outdoors - they've very expensive.

Maybe try Tesco for 2x4person tents?

Lidl had their 8 person tent @ €130 a month ago, so maybe advertise to see if anyone bought one but won't be using it. http://www.lidl.ie/cps/rde/xchg/SID-492611B4-E84B8B65/lidl_ri_ie/hs.xsl/index_19567.htm

Another persons decided to come to the festival with us so need a nine person tent now. Decided to go with a 6 man and 4 man tent, costs 164 for the two of them so between 9 people that isn't bad. Weighs 20.3 kg for the two of them so need to find a way to lighten the load to just under 20 for Ryanair! They weighed our bags last year to find out it was 20.2kg, tried to charge us extra so had to jettison some stuff from the bag!

    Cheers for the help everyone
