my van is giving trouble.i brought her to the garage the other day for the diagnostics board and the mechanic didnt really know what was wrong.i have been having 3 lights, stop, engine management and the one that looks like a coil.ever time id drive here hard or put the foot down theses lights would come on but if i slowed down or touched the break they would go off and i could accelerate away.to be quiet honest it didnt really bother me during the day ,it was just a head wreck at nite.so anyway he said i had fluctuations in the fuel of 35 or something.he thought it might be a fuel pump sensor or something, then he said it could be something to do with the injector heads start up which i think has nothing to do with it cause it start on the button every morning or when ever required.was away the weekend and now when driving back it feels like there is no power.shes drives away but will do no more past 60 etc.no lights are coming on now at all.what ever them lights were indicating well thats the problem.the mechanic just keeps saying ring next week, and so on.im gonna change to another today.shes also buring oil as well.

something is telling me its the egr valve.shes very smokey, power aint there and also at one stage while driving she felt sluggish then all of a sudden she made a burst as if she unclogged herself

    anyone tell me more

    thanks lads

Have a clio, same issures, renault say's it s nothing but motor trade buddy says the normal issue is the crank sensor, €40 in most motor factors. I hate to tell ya that soon enough the van will begin to "non start" weither cold or hot after driving

I recently had egr issues with my huyndai crdi. No power at anything below 2k revs, felt like the throttle was dead. If i did manage to get it up to the turbo range at a low gear id get a sudden burst of power & billow of dirty smoke.

The first time this was happening id no lights or fault codes & some garages i went to intially wouldn't do anything as a result. Brought it to a main dealer i have experience with & they said it was a clogged up egr. & cleaning it did indeed sort the issue. But they said it might only be a temperory fix.

Sure enough i started developing the symptons again after about a month and half. On the drive down this time i got a check engine light.

They put what they call a repair kit on it this time, as though it wasnt actually clogged up again, the valve(or one of the valves, im not fully sure of the mechanics of it)wasnt sitting right closed.

Again i'm not sure of the mechanics but my understand of the symptons vs whats actually happing in my case is the valve was staying open either from carbon build up(the first time) or just a fault(the second time) causing excess exhaust gases into the engine, 'flooding' the engine & giving the low power, & in my case then when id eventually hit the turbo this is here id see the huge burn off of smoke.

had her at the mechanic this evening.he checked the injectors by opening each one individually.the seem ok.revved here and the smoke is serious and at high revs it goes to black smoke.he opened the oil cap and theres back pressure or smaoke coming out there.he doesnt like that he said so i have to take it to a place in castlebar in the morning to let them have a listen, there some crowd called engine re.they might know better

OP how did you fair out with the van ? A friend is having issues with his 2010 Kangoo, he thought originally it might be injectors but now isn't too sure.

Went to look at a kangoo on Saturday
The guy said it was running rough
Wouldn't rev but he fixes it
Said it was a sensor going into the pump
Seen 2 on it it had a brown plug connection on it .
Not sure if he legit so we left the van there
