Direct Bus to Galway (Or Train?)

    Hi, does anyone know the best way to get down to Waterford and back the next day from Galway city for 2 adults? Cant see a direct bus or train anywhere, thanks.

    You get the no. 55 bus (bus eireann) and change in Limerick and get the no 51 or X51 if you don't want to wait over an hour there. There's normally about 10 mins wait if you get the no. 51 or X51. The no. 51 is the Cork to Galway bus and it goes in around Shannon, Ennis etc where as the X51 is direct from Limerick to Galway.

    No direct train or bus but the bus with a quick changeover in Limerick is pretty painless these days.

    Okay thanks, 4 hours is painful on those Bus Eireann buses though.

    I was up there not too long ago for a stag and the train was handy enough you just hop out in Kildare and much much more comfy.

    You could try the Kilkenny Galway bus,a nephew of mine does that route all the time finds it faster
