    http://afloat.ie/port-news/cruise-liners/item/18629-super-yacht-air-sails-into-cork-harbour

It can be seen now in Port of Cork, same place where MS Julia was docked for months.
Probably stopping just for fuel and supplies as i seen fuel and supply trucks next to it this morning.

Any idea who is on it? Considering it is a yacht that hires for 750,000 bucks per week, it aint some average dude/dudette.

I saw four 'guests' arrive today, was monitoring comms and video. Looked like a boy band to me, but they were seriously underwhelmed by their tour.

BTW she broke the harbour speed limits as she left. Parking at the Cobh liner terminal as we speak. More pap work for me I hope/

I passed this thing today in town. The photo above doesnt do justice to its size. Unreal. It's a different world that those that would be able to hire it live in.

I saw it today aswell. It's fecking huge. I was looking past it first, thinking it was one of the tankers or something! It's a giant house that floats.

The Crown-Prince of Nigeria, finally coming over to hand me the $1.2 million he promised me. First he was looking for money off me to get it past the customs so I told him feck it just bring it over when you'll be passing Ireland on yer boat

The picture above doesn't look very impressive. Maybe it doesn't do it justice.
I've seen Bill Gates' yacht in Croatia. That was pretty large.

That's the problem with yachts, there is always someone with a bigger one...

She's not, AIR is built in the Netherlands your link was made in Germany. Feadship is a builder/rental cooperative with AIR currently flagged for civil charter from the Cayman Islands. :)

PS I speculate this is some Celtic Tiger money that was never found :)

For all the people asking who's on board, there is no one except crew on board, no celebs, millionaires etc. In fact I was informed of this by a crew member last week, it is just going around promoting itself at present and is heading to England next. Fueled up with 88,000 liters last week at 1.10 a liter. :O

How were you talking to a crew member? Where is the crew from?

Promoting itself by mooring mostly in Cobh for 3 weeks?

It's promoting itself as being better than Titanic…

I was thinking for a lil while lately that it might be out just promoting itself, but i don't think this is true.
If you are out with this sort of yacht, you find better ways to promote yourself than staying in one place for so long. Unless its Monaco, Monte Carlo or some place similar. I think within few days it would have had done all the promoting in Cork and County coastline it would have needed.
It's not like we have a constant flow of billionaires piled in here.

It was definitely here for a charter, my word is at least one group arrived, took the tour and were gone. It's probably just doing 'cheap' charters ~ in Billionaire terms one can get almost any superyacht for pennies these days.

Charter companies are as much in trouble as anyone else, there is great 'value' in all things marine these days with big cruise ships losing passengers to the smaller lines and these in turn offering even cheaper packages and inducements.

Though my own personal take on this is it is the ghost of Charlie Haughey come to Cobh to rub the nose of Vincent Keaney, the former millionaire who danced on Charlie's grave.

" and the annual Wooden Boat and Seafood Festival"

This has become STANDARD drivel now from festival organisers, been happening for a while already when stars are mentioned as possible festival hosts or guest appearances etc ~

Cobh did it last month with George Clooney ~ funny thing, that yacht arrived soon after that rush to see Clooney.

    "imminently possible" :D

Is that just bad writing, or the Cork accent coming out?
