There's at least one boardsie in that pic, in addition to a cafe which can't make up its mind whether it's Italian or Spanish. :)

The DART is for pussies. They should have rode there and back! :)

great idea. But I'd have to do the opposite: dart to malahide, eat big steak and cycle back to greystones :D

These 2 guys came to Greystones on the Dart, one is from Skerries and the other is from Malahide.

They mentioned that the Dart takes cycles onboard in off peak periods and they find it a great advantage. They cycled back home after their welcome tea and scone.

    > Cool. I didnt know that.

Done it a couple of time in the opposite direction. Killiney to Malahide and cycle around the airport, Howth and back. It's grea tthat you can just hop on the DART off peak, but it's nearly quicker to cycle to Malahide :pac:

I'm the guy to the right. One missing detail was the 80km loop over the Sally Gap via Enniskerry and Laragh!

    All day saturday/sunday

Weekdays - 10AM-3PM and then from 7PM onwards.

This also applies to the commuter trains aswell. Intercity is a slightly different setup.

Think there may be restrictions if there are sporting events on at Lansdowne, Croker etc. Check irishrail.ie it tells you all there

Well done lads. How did you find taking the bikes on the DART with you, any awkward moments or anything?.

Believe they also let you on very early in the morning (i.e first couple of darts).

None at all - Biggest issue is stopping the bikes rolling/falling over - solved by stuffing gloves under wheels to stop them rolling.

Meh... weighing yourself down with unnecessary rubber bands.. Just take up the slack on the adjuster to tighten the brake (also works as "lock" against opportunistic thieves should you need to nip into the shop)

You've a very familiar head on ye... I hope you're not offended if I ask if you're a Tosser?;)

I need an 5mm allen key to adjust my brakes :(

Proud to have once been a Tosser - reverted to pedal power after a biggish off in '08.

nope, leave it against the offside doors and just remember to move it at Connolly (if going past there)

I hook the drops over the handrail in the standing area beside the doors. No falling over or stuff then...
