Advice on booking TGV. Online or at the station?

Ok Im heading over to France in a few weeks time and staying down in The Vendee area.

On one of the days myself and the family intend on traveling up to Eurodisney, From looking at the map and online the TGV seems to be the handiest way to get from where we are staying to Eurodisney. ( TGV From Nantes to ED )

My question is relates to buying tickets for the train. IM looking at the TGV website but can't really make a ideal decision on times etc. Are the prices generally in or around the same price if you go to the station to purchase them rather than purchasing them online? Or am I likely to get fleeced at the station like some of the UK train stations?

Anyone with information will be greatly appreciated.

    Darragh

You won't get fleeced to the same extent as in the UK but buying at least two weeks in advance online can save around 30 to 50 percent. There are also last minute "derniere minute" fares on line for a ragbag selection of services which might be no use.

The TGV does sell out, so whether you book online or at a SNCF station, it's advisable to do so beforehand. Sometimes a few days during peak season.

Also be aware of the 'idTGV' service. It's a sort of 'Ryanair' approach to the service - you get on the TGV but you cannot change your time. You pay for that trip only, no refund if you miss it. The advantage is it's much cheaper.
