Double High Sleeper/Loft Bed

    Hi folks,
I live in a small bedsit, which is grand for me but I will be shortly joined by the OH. Now the bed I have at the minute is falling apart anyway, so we decided to get a loft-style double bed to free up space for a desk and a futon. There's two styles on the Ikea website, neither seem very sturdy (or nice!).

Does anyone know where we'd find anything suitable? Looking for one with a thick frame, made from wood preferably.
    Thanks :D

Go up to Ikea IN PERSON and have a look at them.

Theres a black wooden double high sleeper and its fairly sturdy,I was only looking at the other day with the missus while walking around Ikea/

Yeah I've seen it, but I don't think it's very nice for the price you're paying...I'm just looking for suggestions on other places to look, as I'd like to know all my options :)

I can't help you with addresses to buy such high-sleepers. I just think you should be weighing up the pros and cons of such beds.
They might give you a little bit of extra floorspace but my experience is that they encroach on a small space too much visually, because they are, well, high. Thus making the room seem smaller.

I don't really mind how the room looks, but I need to be able to fit more storage in. I would consider possibly a mid sleeper with a fair amount of storage, but I can't find a double one either :P
