Consumer Info on After Death Estate Planning in Ireland

Would like to know if the everyday consumer can learn anything about estate planning in Ireland from an Irish online forum or website like they have in the states (e.g., Nolo.com)? Not wanting to prepare forms or the like myself, but just trying to find out what the possibilities and common issues are in Ireland.

Please, I would appreciate if lawyers/barristers/solicitors do not respond. I seem to find when asking these types of questions in Ireland the "professionals" just keep insisting only they or their peers can provide any information...same with medical queries. (That's why I'm asking this here, after disappointing results in Legal section of these boards.) There's got to be some info out there somewhere.

In what area are you looking for info? Is it the design of the estate, requirement of the estate, services required for the estate etc etc?

There are a lot of areas required to have knowledge of initially, before if the project got off the ground each area os speciallity would be "farmed" accordingly.

Most basic starting point would be a Local CDP (County Dev Plan) where easch LA has specified their own local standards, and basically work from there, but as I said above, depends on exactly what info you are trying to get.



Ohh sure would take years of experience and only us pros could do it for ya surely;):D:D

The o/p is not looking for information on how to build a housing estate or industrial estate etc. He is using estate in the sense of succession. So & So died and left nett estate of €xxx.
