Good big mug for tea?

    Evenning all.

Once, I was very happy with my lovely big tea mug. It was rounded and could be held by both hands and be kept lovely and warm. It was fully glazed and had no scratchy/raspy bits on it.

Unfortunately, my Lovely Mug succumbed to gravity and now has a crack in it so no good for hot beverages (God I love my hot beverages!)

But fear not! My Lovely Mug will be used to house a seedling or two. It will live on.

In the last few days I picked up what I thought could be a stellar replacement from Dunnes. It was big and rounded though not as big as its predecessor and for bonus marks it had two cats on it. My bliss was not to last. My New Mug has awful scratchy/raspy bits on it around the handle and I've noticed a tiny chip on the rim. It's a poor mass produced glaze job courtesy of China.

This will not do for the sacrament of tea!

Where in Dublin can a Lovely Big Rounded Fully Glazed Mug for Tea be found?

Tea if you get this far (in a lovely mug no doubt;))

I got one in Tesco - it has My Big Mug emblazoned on it.
Normally when tea is being made I'm asked if I want it in an ordinary mug or my bucket.

I had the same problem and got a huge red one with "mug of tea" written on it. It looked like someone cut an artillery shell in half. The problem was, the tea wasn't strong enough and if it was, it was too cold half way down. So I've found my new favourite mug

Its the perfect shape for wrapping your hands around it and is the right size

Sometimes when you buy enough goods from a certain sports shop online, they send you a free mug which is about vat-sized :P Good warmth-retention properties also :)

I had a beautiful mug. Perfect size and hand feel. So good in fact that when I shared a house it would disappear as a house mate would misappropriate it.

Had it for years. Then wife goes and breaks it. Now twelve years laters she is still asking to be released from the naughty step.
