Rear hub query

    Hi all

I have a Specialized Tricross (2011) and am looking to get a new rear hub. I'll be planning on doing some touring and want to get a 36 spoke rear wheel which should be a bit more robust.

My problem is that the Tricross has an 8-speed rear cassette. I was thinking of getting one of the following two:

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=50508
    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=69847

They seem to be for 9-speed / 10-speed cassettes. I haven't got much of an idea about the technicalities, but would anyone know if either of these would be suitable for the 8-speed cassette? Or will I need to get a new cassette / derailleur?

Thanks in advance for any help!
