BMW replacement tyres

    Hi,
I need to replace my existing tyres shortly on my BMW. I currently have run-flats as standard on 17 inch wheels. As you have guessed, the ride is hit and miss on the comfort stakes.

Does anyone know the cost of replacing run-flats (all x 4 of them)

    Cheers

I recently priced 16" RFT, they were €130ish each for Continentals. 17" will be a bit more (and less comfortable). Have a look here for an idea on prices, and don't forget to add fitting: www.eiretyres.com

The way I read it they're ditching the runflats due to the poor quality ride in the first place.

Normal 17's if you want decent tyres... budget certainly >110 per tyre.

You will be paying silly money for 17" RFTs even if buying them online. I had 18" RFTs and replaced them with standard tyres at half the price and I sourced a space saver spare for the boot. The ride is much improved on the standard tyres too.

You can check prices here also www.camskill.co.uk

Ah, right. Personally i'd ditch the 17" wheels, but sure they'll find prices for all options on eiretyres.

Do mind me asking where? Seriously considering ditching the run flats also for reasonably priced tyres. OP 17" RFTs cost in the region of €165 a corner for middle of the road brands.

Got it from someone over on bmw-driver.ent who didn't need it anymore. :) BMW dealers are selling space saver kits but they are not cheap, about €300. E90 also doesn't have a tyre well so you have to throw it in the boot.

Yeah there is a BMW dealer on eBay uk selling them for around £230. There is space in the e61 so it's just a matter of doing the sums. Thanks anyway
