Hi, i don't really understand when do i have to take lessons with an instructor.
I'm learning to theory test now. When (if) i will pass do i have to take lessons right away to be able to drive with assistance of full driving license holder or any time but before applying for test for full driving license?

Also does anyone know for how long is valid new (5th) edition of test book?

    Thank you for help

After taking and passing theory test, you apply for learners permit. Then you have to wait 6 months before doing driving test. During these 6 months you do the 12 EDT lessons and practice.

Once you have your leaner permit, you can drive as long as a person who has held a full license for at least 2 years is with you in the car. You don't have to have your official EDT lessons done before you start driving, but it would be advisable to do at least a few of them before you start driving.

If a well intentioned friend or family member takes you out to show you the ropes of driving, it is highly likely that they will have bad habits or incorrect ways of doing things, in areas such as moving off, gear changes, clutch operation, stopping, observation and road positioning. You will absorb these bad habits and copy them. Then when you go for your official lessons, the instructor will have to undo all these bad habits, and have you start out from scratch. You will fail your test if you do not do things the correct way.

An instructor friend of mine says he finds it far easier to teach people to drive if he gets them brand new to driving, than if they have been shown the ropes by someone else first.
