Hoping to purchase one of the above over the next few weeks.

I love the look of the A5 but not sure of the hatch (for the ease of loading my brothers wheel chair) & having two young sproggs under 6yrs of age in the back (not in the hatch!!)

I also love the look of the BMW estate and know that loading a wheel chair will not be a problem.

So chaps/chapettes – which one would you go for?
What are the running costs like?
What minimum spec should I aim at??

The A5 Sportback is nice looking alright, but I'd go with the 5. Nicer handling car and much bigger. The A5 is based on the A4 platform, and the A4 is very cramped inside. Can't imagine the A5 being that practical, but I've never inspected the boot.

Afraid not, my circumstances have changed so I wont be purchasing until early new year.

If I didn't have to consider putting in / pulling out a wheel chair I wouldn't hesitate getting one.

Let me know how you get on.
