Let us know how you get on. I've had the 10, 11, 12 and 13's, so the 14 would be a fairly natural progression.

Hope you got a bargain, but I'm doubting that you did! Has the price increased much from the 13's?

    Thanks

    €160
I had 2 pairs of the 13'sand really liked them, but I picked up a pair of 12's at the Asics store in Kildare Outlet Village for €95 about a month ago. Maybe they'll have the 13's there now that the 14 is out.

that's taking the piss for runners that might only last you 300 miles of running.... there are very good runners that you can get for 1/2 that for neutral runners needing cushioning. Nike Lunarglide comes to mind - great shoes.

But everyone knows that asics are the best runners for running. Go into any Lifestyle and they'll tell you

lunarglide didn't work for me as I supinate, the dynamic support I find doesn't work for people who supinate.

Cheaper options might be brooks ghost, mizuno rider, adidas ride or glide, saucony triumph, new balance 1080.there are so many

I switched from Nimbus 13 to Newton Distance... Nimbus feel like cement blocks on your feet when compared to Newton's!

€130 if I remember correctly... But that was with a 10% discount!!

Although now that I know what size fits me, the next pair will be bought online from the states, probably still work out cheaper with shipping!

I don't find Nimbus too heavy at all, but for sure they are not lightweight. Anyone got a good recommendation for a pair of racers for a closet Nimbus lover with a neutral gait?

new Nimbus 80grams lighter then previous model.race shoes depending on distance but id say brooks T7 5K-10K Adidas Adios mizuno Ronin.plenty of race shoes out there.

Might i add the New Balance 1080V2 to that as well in the neutral section:)

-80g, that seems like quite a reduction, as I remember the 13's were already lighter than the 12's, so another 80g's would make quite a difference. How did they feel on your first outing - nice and shiny?

Really? I've always used Nimbus but I have to admit as of late my feet are killing me after a run.

Yeah, they're super light. I only use them for runs up to 10km and stuff, they take a bit of getting used to because theres virtually no cushioning/gel or any of that stuff. I'd use the Nimbus for marathons... for now!

I'm confused Dr.S! Which shoes are you talking about, surely not the Nimbus?
    Thanks

My apologies! Dr.S's diagnosis can be confusing at times. Was on about using Newtons for stuff up to 10km and Nimbus for marathons. Petty both brands are overpriced though :(

14s? I'm still using my Nimbus 12s. I'm up to about 600miles though, so I'll be buying a new pair soon.
13s are €145 in Elvery's, and if you're with O2 you get 20% off.. so not too bad..
