MMS problem with Galaxy S2

Posting this for a friend. I'm not sure if it's a Vodafone problem or a problem with the device itself, so we'll start here, and move to the Vodafone forum if necessary.

    Righto

Essentially since I got my Samsung Galaxy S2 I have been largely unable to send picture messages. I can generally receive them ok.

If on the off chance a picture message does send it knocks off the data and then I can’t connect to the internet. Then I have to deactivate the data (which shows up as active despite not being able to access the internet) and then reactivate it.

Then I can’t send pic messages again.

The only way I can be sure a pic message will go is if connected to wifi. This also doesn’t affect the data. And I have both services while on wifi.

I have contacted Vodafone repeatedly about the problem who tell me my settings are fine. Sometimes they reset them which lets me sent pic messages but have no data. Called into several Vodafone stores about it. Patently something is off but yet everyone says everything is ok . GRRRRR

I downloaded the Vodafone IE settings app previously to no avail. This problem is on ICS and previous version inscluding after a factory reset.

This problem makes me very sad.

    Thanking you kindly
