    Hi

Hope someone can help. Recently got a new iPhone 4s. It's sweet made the move from android. Just wondering what's the best method or software for transferring my music on my iPod nano to my iPhone?

Use iTunes? Presumably you have your music on iTunes, so just put what you want on the phone.

I have all my music on my laptop and iTunes in Ireland. But I'm no longer in Ireland. Have new laptop and iPhone. I have my iPod with me. Sorry for my stupidity - is just a case of connecting my iPod to my new laptop and using iTunes to transfer music to my iPhone.

    Thanks

No. The problem is that the laptop is considered to be the "master" library, your iPod or iPhone just carry a copy of that library. So when you make a change to the master library (add or delete a song), that change is synced to iPod.

So if you connect your iPod to your laptop and sync with iTunes, it will see that there's no music in the iTunes library and it will wipe your iPod.

What you need to do is copy the music from your iPod onto your laptop and then point iTunes at that. If you google it there are numerous ways of copying the data from the iPod.
