Large sliding Doors - Sun screen?

    Hi

I have large sliding doors at back of my house (south facing garden) so sun is a problem. There is a glare off TV and gets very hot on those rare sunny days. The doors slide over each other and there is not enough room for blinds within the frame.

Only options I can think of is a screen that can be pulled out temporarily? Like old fashioned screen used for privacy in the bedroom! Anybody got any ideas?

Why not have vertical blinds that hang just inside the doors, that can also be pulled back out of the way to one side when not required.

    Cheers.

Thought of that but the windows are 5 metres wide in total ( split evenly between 2 stationary panels and two doors that slide over the stationary panels - opening from the middle) and something like that wouldnt be manageable and I think would be a bit unsightly? Maybe im wrong.

Solar Film, there's a company in Cork that does it (not sure if I can post their details but it can be googled).

    Cantilevered screens or awnings outside.

As it is south facing would something like a brise soleil not be a viable solution???

Brise Soliel might be an option (after I googled it)!

Now to find a supplier in ireland!

As my architect was French and suggested one that was the only way I knew the name (and I had to google the spelling :D)
