hey guys ..was wondering if any of you out there could help me .. had my speakers hooked up to my laptop through a double sided jack lead which was quite short , when my dog jumped up on me and accidently broke the bit where the lead goes into the laptop ....... so now i cant put headphones in .. and i have no sound either…

hey guys ..was wondering if any of you out there could help me ..

so now i cant put headphones in ..
and i have no sound either from the laptop .....and its the second time its happened so i have no sound whatsoever ....and little pieces fell out of where it plugs in

was wondering if any of you you techies know if theres another way i can use the sound via usb or something else ..........
or is the lap top "donald ducked"
the laptop is 3 years old btw.....dell bought in 2009.....
