    Hi,

I currently have a website running on my local server but its maxed out spacewise. Is it possible to have an external HD hooked up to the server so I could have more files linked and stored here through the website. e.g.

    http://www.domain.ie/externaldrive/files.htm

The server Im using uses IIS if thats any use you. I presume I'd have to share the folder where these external files reside. Ive done that but they wont link up for me.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Greg

Yes, it's easy, you just need to create a "Virtual Directory". Just go to your site in the IIS management tool, right-click it and choose to add a virtual directory. It will ask you for an alias, in your example this would be "externaldrive", and it will ask for a physical path, point this at your external drive. Then http://www.domain.ie/externaldrive/ will point at that location on your external drive.
