Confused!

Just received my protein last night.. But am really confused on the measurments...

I'm using the whey protein isolate strawberry and cream flavour. I also have 70cc and 5cc scoops.

My question is.. If I weigh 14 stone, that means I need 196 grams of protein each day? I understand that most of our protein intake should be taken by food, but how many grams of protein are in each 70cc scoop?

Confused! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

OK, I see from your previous post it was most likely myprotein... so from their website http://www.myprotein.com/ie/products/impact-whey-isolate
    Per 25g:
    Energy: 92.5cal
    Energy: 393.3kJ
    Protein (dry basis): 23.0g
    Protein (as-is): 22.25g
    Fat: 0.25g
    Carbohydrates: 0.17g
    Calcium: 100.0mg
    Cholesterol: 0.5mg

Please note this nutritional information is taken from the unflavoured version. When choosing a flavoured version it will reduce the protein content by approximately 3% for most flavours, however chocolate, due to the added cocoa, will reduce it by approximately 8%.

So each 70cc scoop is 22.25 grams of protein?

No. No idea how many grams 70cc scoop holds. Also see all three bolded parts.

To be honest, no. That's not correct at all.

So in order to get my full protein intake, I would need to 70cc scoops, twice daily?

Dammit no!! Don't listen to the one person not making any sense in the thread!!!

If you need 196g of protein daily you need, roughly:

-8 chicken fillets (about 25g each)

    OR

-8 scoops of whey (about 25g each)

    OR

    -about a million eggs

    OR

    -about 900g of lean beef

    OR

-if you're a normal person, mix and match thru the day :)

Thanks for clarifying that for me Hanley.

So for me, if I have 3 chicken fillets (75g)

4 Scoops of whey isole protein (100g)

I would be 20grams off of my daily intake?

Yeah, but depending on what else you eat during the day, there's likely to be incidental protein that'll get you close to your target.

Throw 4 eggs in to you for breakfast and you'l hit your protein target along with the 3 chicken fillets and 4 shakes

make a shake with two scoops instead of one, it will magically half the amount of shakes you need to drink :D
