    Hi,

Is it possible to only run one wire down to the tv's from the quad lnb.

I need 3 signals. 3 separate single FTA receivers.

Ive seen splitters. Not too sure if there for this.

Do they work like this ?
3 cables from lnb into the a splitter. One cable from splitter to another splitter in the house. Then you have three outlets to connect to receivers via coax ?

    Just seems to simple.

Or are they just for combining terrestrial and digital Signals together ?

    Any help is great.

    Cheers.

Each satellite receiver LNB input requires a separate feed from the LNB or a multiswitch.

If you use a multiswitch it'll require 4 feeds from the LNB to where you locate the unit and then separate feeds from it to each satellite receiver input. The multiswitch can also combine the terrestrial signal on the same feed to the receiver where it can be split for TV/sat receiver.

Satellite/terrestrial splitters/combiners like this are for a single feed to a satellite receiver tv point - http://www.tvtrade.ie/amplifiers-and-diplexers/satellite-combiners.html.

A separate feed is required to each receiver input because the satellite channels are spread across 4 bands

If all 3 receivers are non Sky boxes and all three have an option in the LNB menu for LNB type Unicable or SCR then you can use one cable, but you need to buy a special unicable or SCR LNB. They cost about 50 euro extra but are very worth it if you are unable to run a new cable for whatever reason.

In general however it is usually simpler/better to run two cables to any place you ever intend to record and one to other rooms.

Cheers too both of you. That cleared that up.
