You know the bacon you can get in a sandwich at a deli... it's cold, streaky... not exactly crispy... and tastes nice :o

Probably crap for you, but does anyone know how they prepare it like that?

    Thanks :D

They don't make it themselves, it comes preprepared in a big tub. Cash and Carrys would sell it.

Dayumn... is there no way to make it using "rashers" :(

My guess would be that they use cheap rashers and bake them in the oven covered in salted water. The water would stop them crisping up.

I might give it a try tomorrow and see what happens :P

I think they just bake them in the oven and then let them go cold.

    Get some streaky bacon.

Lay it out in a baking tray on baking paper.

Cook in oven until the fat turns a light golden colour.

Remove from oven and soak up any excess fat with some kitchen paper

Let it cool then eat, refrigerate or whatever...
