Anyone know a good place to get the Sony PS3 7.1 headset, either in store or online? They go for $79 in the states, but they go for about double that on Amazon.co.uk, almost cheaper to get them shipped from the America. Surely some irish retailer/site has them at a reasonable price?

Got mine in Gamestop Stephens Green before Xmas.

It was 90e at the time but went down to 70e soon after.

I know there is a thread on it on the one of the forums (PS maybe) and Gamestops around the country seemed to be a good source

Cheers, I'll check Gamestop so. Didn't see them on the website so I wasn't going to bother.

How are you finding the headset? any good?

I don't use it quite as much as I thought I would.

I use it more for the audio rather than chat but I have to say I think it is excellent for the price.

Its big and ugly but the sound is reasonable for the price.

Gamestop is the easiest way to get your hands on a pair.

I find them pretty good for games like Battlefield and Call of Duty as they increase noise of the enemy players. Although there is a little issue currently ongoing with them where the user can hear their own voice through the microphone.

A lot of people are having the issue and it seems to be a firmware problem (Don't know for sure myself). I have tested the battery since I got them and the longest I got it to run was for 6 hours full charge with surround turned on.
