I LOVE video game music. I only have to hear the opening bars of the loading screen of The Legend of Zelda and I'm brought right back there to my days with my NES. I recently made a playlist because there are so many great songs (and funny) from Still Alive to Iron

I just came across this list of the 100 Best Themes of All Time. Anything they missed? I have to say, I really liked most of this list, it made me realise what I had missed off my playlist.

Point taken but I thought ShadowHearth meant that the link I provided had already been posted, not the game music thread. I posted the link because I thought it was handy to have all those songs on a list with ready to play tracks. I also wanted to know if there were any songs missing, so that I could selfishly add to my own playlist. I like to listen to them at work.

No!!!! I remember the thread about this....what a silly whistling tune...they just get stuck in your head so bad.
I go for days when I can't get the Kill Bill whistling tune out of my head !!

Anyways, I think game music is more inline with your expereince of the game and as to whether you enjoyed it or not.
I don't know of any memorable tune from a game I disliked.
Instead, most of my favourite tunes would relate to certain scenes in games that I loved or epic moments where I was really into it.
