    Hi

My friend was told in her face to face performance review that her pay was to go up by 4000 however in her payslip it went up by 3000 and she also received a letter today stating the payrise was 3000e. She has gone to her manager and was told she look in to it. What rights has she? i fear it her word against the managers.

If the manager's promised to look into it, then I'd wait until they come back to you. There's nothing more that can be done TBH, as the agreement was only verbal. The 3k is what's in writing.

A 3k rise however is not to be sniffed at - well done! :)

Not many people getting a pay rise so i wouldn't make a massive song and dance about it :D

Did the manager say: "Oh that is a mistake, I will sort it out" or was it a PFO?

We need to know what exactly the manager said before we can comment whether your friend is being screwed over or not.

The saying that '' if it's not written down then it never happened '' springs to mind here.
I agree that it would be best to wait for the managers reply.
