A quick question. Theres a sales company wont name them but there based in Munster that i went to an interview with a wile back but just remember about it now. It wasnt one of the Cobra what ever they call themselfs as you got a wage on top of your sales but the questions is about the sales, to get paid for them you had to make at least 20 in a week, so for example if you made 15 you didnt get paid for them. If you make 15 sales the compnay they sell for gets 15 new costomers and i would assume they sales company get paid for the sales you made but you get nothing (other then the wage) for all the work you did. The question is can they do that?

Of course they can do it, remember they have to pay your wages etc out of that 15 sales. If you even sold 15.

But would the wage not be separate from the commission?

If I understand correctly you are telling us your contract says the following:

    1) You will be paid a basic wage of X per month.
    2) You will receive commission on your sales if and only if you exceed your monthly sales target.

If so, there is nothing illegal about that.

I would have taught though if you made your target you would then get the wage i.e. Your tagret is 20 but you only get 15 you get paid for the 15 sales but dont get the wage

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're trying to say.

Seems pretty clear to me. SAy the wage is a bones if you make 20 sales you get paid it but if you only make 15 should you not be paid for them?

I'm sorry, I still don't understand what you are trying to say. There are grammar issues and your explanations of how you think a sales job should work doesn't make sense.

This is normally the way a sales job works:

A company has a product to sell.
    They hire you, a salesperson.
They will pay you X per month.
They will also pay you commission. This may be something like 5% of each sale, but you may only get paid your commission if you hit a certain sales target each month.

So let's say your base wage is EUR 1200 net into your hand each month. You get paid this no matter how many sales you make.

Your sales target is EUR 5000 gross per month. To reach this target you need to sell 20 phones at EUR 250 each.

So if you sell EUR 5000 worth of phones in one month, you will receive 5% of this as commission, which is EUR 250.

But your sales manager has said you will only be paid your commission if you hit your sales target.

There may be other incentives too, like any sales past the EUR 7500 target are worth 10% commission.

You should never lose your base wage. The commission is the fluctuating part of your salary.
