Off at the end of the month to the south of France. Staying near a town called Beziers and was just wondering if any of you knew the area and maybe a few nice bike shops that I can go and have a **** browse in.

Wouldn't mind picking up a few jerseys / shorts / and god knows what else Will have the car with me so space is not a problem :)

Not specifically cycling but a visit to a big Decatholon store is always worth it.

It's a lovely area down there, if you're prepared to drive a little loads to see and do.

    You bringing your bike?

Drive a lot, the missus is giving me the green light to go to Monaco for the Grand Prix. 400+km each way, it better be a good one and not rained out like a couple of years ago.

I hinted, but it got a frosty reception. A 1 and a 2 year old I guess puts pay to that kind of thing!
I suppose disappearing for the Grand Prix and maybe a run every day is as much as I can hope for. Though, I do hope that I might be able to rent a bike, won't look so bad then!

It's years ago now but when our youngest was a baby and we were on a camping holiday in France the only way we could get her to sleep was to put her in the kids seat that was on the bike I'd hired and take off out the roads, worked a treat in a few minutes once she was away from the hustle and bustle of the site.

If you do get a chance check out the cycling along the Canal Du Midi, not the most physically challenging but nice in the shade under the trees and safe with no traffic.

Monte Carlo sounds good, lucky you.

Theres a large decathalon in Narbonne about 20min down the motorway from Beziers tou can see it when you come off the motorway at Narbonne exit.
I believe there is one in Beziers too but never found it.
