[Wanted/Share] Cork City, mature student

    Hi,

I hope to be going to UCC/CIT or St John's this September. I am 26 yr old male in need of as close to silent as possible study area. I am easy going - except I don't want to listen to couples fighting and breaking things or someone's favorite metal band pounding in my ceiling.

I would also be interested in sharing with someone but it would have to be under €260 each a month for rent allowance.

There has got to be at least one room somewhere in cork city which has no drama, no conflicts and little noise.

I am currently in a one bedroom apartment which is cold and lacks daylight and has little sound proofing. I spend my days trying to study as much as possible.

I am clean, tidy and organized. I don't smoke and I drink occasionally. I am not looking for a palace: daylight, warm and quiet is all.

I would love to find a place where I could stay for years. I dropped out of college before so I know the story with most college houses. I am not interested in getting wasted.

So please, someone give this mature student a good home, and you'll be rewarded with rent and bills on time and no hassle.

I would need rent allowance accepted
€103 a week max one bed,
    €65 a week max sharing

    Cheers,
    Chris

place found. all i can say is search daft.ie every day and phone them all. Most won't reply and places are taken really quickly. Now (may) is a good time to find places that other mature students are leaving.

Also be prepared to give a month rent in advance PLUS the deposit PLUS paying rent on the place you're in for the 4 weeks notice. I managed to negotiate the deposit over the next few months, but not all landlords are going to be helpful.

I think if you are punctual and show a good rent book and be completely open, most people will be flexible. Just be careful not to trust the word of any landlord until you have it in writing.

Also, posting on boards.ie doesn't seem to really work for finding accommodation :)
