    Requirements :

    8G RAM ( even if it comes with less I can stuff it with Crucial RAM )
    DVD ( Optional, I suppose as Daemon tools will always do anyway )
    Core i7 2nd Gen QC, no need for Ivy B
    15.6" screen, doesn't have to be 1920x1080 I can live with 1366x768

    *Must* be robust and rock solid warranty, I want someone out with a part to the office to fix the screen if it goes for example in the first year.

    Graphics : Not too worried, this will spend its time doing development
    Weight : It'll be mobile a lot, see MUST be robust.
    Hard Drive : No need for SSD, but a 7200 RPM 500G or better.

    I keep thinking I'm painting myself into a Dell Lat 6520 or some such but can anyone suggest a budget alternative ? No need for XFR or ATG

    There must be some I7-QCs being flogged off atm to clear inventory before IB.
