Hi all - yes another one of these threads!

I'm looking to replace my laptop as it's on it's last legs

    Budget €500 - 750
    Screen 15.6" (ish)
    > 500gb Hard Drive
Would like back lit keyboard but not essential
    DVD rewriter
    Blu-ray - not necessary
    Decent battery life
i5 at least (gen II I guess if it makes much of a difference)

Most use will be browsing, some Word/Excel use, some light photo and video editing but not Photoshop, file converting etc. I will be moving a fair amount of files around between hard drives etc which can take an age on my current one. Not a huge amount else really. Wont be doing any gaming.

I also prefer the track pad that has a bit of feel or a little bit rough. I saw a few in Harvey Normans and preferred the trackpad on the Lenovos, Toshiba, I think the Acer/Asus were smooth iirc, and not sure about the Samsung. Was going to hold out until Windows 8 later in the year but the current one is wrecking my head! Will be buying online.

    Thinking of something like

    or

    or maybe

    Any thoughts appreciated

    Cheers
