    Hello,
I am a bit in a panic as I check online and I cannot find information I need as this is fast necessity.
My husband is in university on BTEA,he missed many weeks this term as he lose his eye sight for 2 month from a disease but he is now in a recovery.
The university give him deferral of exams 6 in total to do in August and he must study with tutor from university for June/July to get ready.
I have been unemployed for 2 year now and I claim as dependent on him,we get rent allowance and our total is 400 per week.
Now i go for job interview last week and they call me today to start a try day on Monday but they have 2 position available one full time and one part time.
The pay is 8.65 per hour and my husband will not be able to work this summer as he has to rest his body as stress and over work is not good for his condition and he must prepare for repeat exams.
My friend tell me that if I take full time that he will not be able claim anything and we cannot afford to live in our house if this is the case.
We spend 395 on living expense and we have no luxury per week already and we cannot afford to lose any money.
Can somebody please tell me how much money we will lose if I take full time or part time and can we keep rent allowance or do we lose it,I need to give answer to job tomorrow but I check 3 hour online and cannot find answer. So sorry for long talk but it big deal to us to get job. thank you

I think your rent allowance might go. You wouldn't be unemployed anymore and I don't think you can claim it on the BTEA. I'm not too sure how working part time affects rent allowance. Give the citizens advice bureau a call.

Ok so I work and they give me 24 hour every week,I am so happy to finally get something.
Its 3 day every week and I call citizen information who tell me that my husband will not lose his claim.
We are just so confused about rent allowance because if we have income combined of 450 after I work and claim for 3 day do we lose all rent supplement.
