    Goodyear duragrip
Cheap tyre in the size you are looking for and excellent grip, quality and wear

My usual broken record recommendation is the Hankook Optimo 4S from places like Eiretyres.

This is gonna sound confusing (only say that cause I confused myself =D) but I bought the fronts and rears separate, about 2 months between then.

The tyres on the front have been on the car since about Sept of 2010. I have done about 25,000 miles since then and they have 4mm left on the tread.

The ones on the rear are 2 months younger and have about 5 or 6 mm left.
I am sure someone more knowledgeable can say whether that is good or bad but the point about these tyres, they transformed the car in the snow we had and do not seem to wear too quick in the Summer temps. Never got stuck once and cant complain about grip in other conditions.

They are going for 77 quid in your size which is the same size as my car.

    thanks for the replies

    4 x Goodyear duragrip €272.74 camskill €294.40 eiretyre
    4 x Hankook Optimo 4S €308.4 eiretyre

Anyone know what Falken ZE912 are like?
I have used Falken in the past and found them good but havent used their newer tyres.
they would be €238.39 for 4 from camskill

The Hankook is an all season tyre which brings up the long debated question if you are better with an all season tyre or using summer tyres and changing to dedicated winter tyres

195/65 15 is a very common size which means that premium brand tyres are available in that size for reasonable money. You should be able to get a Bridgestone tyre for €85 each or a Firestone for €75 each. Either should suit your needs. The Bridgestone will last a bit longer but otherwise there isn't much between the two.

Depending on the driving style during normal conditions and also considering the car is no M3 or similar, the 40 quid is worth the very obvious grip increase I noticed from Cooper Zeon XTC to the Hankooks on the front. (Front wheel driver btw).

I'll be getting the Goodyear all seasons next.
