DPF removal and NCT

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any idea if DPF removal will effect future NCT tests. The DPF hasn't caused any problem so far in my 2010 diesel, but given that my wife does a lot of short trips daily, it could become an issue. I plan to do a removal of the innards by cutting the housing and removing the filter and rewelding it closed, a remap will then be done by Joe at Chippedire.
Soot catcher gone and power/fuel economy increased.:)
    Anyone got advice?

As things stand, the only emissions tested for diesel engines are smoke opacity levels. DPF removal is not going to affect this IMO, so you're fine. That's not to say that the emissions test won't be changed at some point down the line where it may be necessary to have one fitted in order to pass.
