Thinking about it myself but it's a 7 hour round trip. I'd want to come away with something for that! Heard it's flat with one hill towards the finish. Don't know what it's like however.

Pretty much a flat circuit alright if its the same as last year. The rise before the finish is only a short drag, nothing too severe, the downhill to the finish however can create high speeds before the line which caused havoc in either the A3/A4 race last year.

"The Senior and Under 16 race will be on the same circuit as the last two years except the finish line has been moved due to safety reasons and will now finish after the hill on the straight road that leads into the village approximately 600 metres from the old finish"

Where exactly is the sign on? Trying to find it on Google Maps.

Take Killarney Road out of Castleisland. Currow is signposted after about 3 km. Not the hilliest race, but hard, slow, tiring roads.

It's a nice event. Small village club with a long and proud tradition. Nothing fancy. Salt of the earth Irish racing types.

Congratulations to Richard Hooton of Visit Nenagh who had his first win for the newly formed team today, well deserved for the Mallow rider who has been showing really good form so far this year.
