    Air Bag Light is on. Shows up '' Crash sensor passenger air bag disabled permanent'' Audi A4. Mechanic baffled

    You need to find another mechanic who has VCDS or similar diagnostics and knows how to use it.

    If you want us to help you will need to get the specific fault codes, what you have posted above is not a proper fault code.

    It sounds to me like a mixture of these 2 fault codes:

    Crash sensor side airbag; passenger side
    Front Passenger's Airbag Disabled

    The top one shouldn't be difficult to sort out, the other isn't a fault as such, it is just a setting in the airbag controller to allow for disabling the passenger front airbag which is necessary in certain cases.
