    Downey's charge about €40 for coding I think Sean. Maybe €15-20 to cut the new key.

    yes they can,important to make sure you have the correct chip in
    the key,ie red,blue or blue w1 etc;)

    thanks for the info, any way of knowing which colour goes with a particular car ? problem is that the original key is missing, does it go by the year or model of the car?

    Earlier car have red chip -up to year 2000,from 2000 to 2006/7 have blue,our 2007 fiesta has blue W1 chip.not sure about the new ford range.:-)
