I love bands like The Runaways, Warpaint, Bikini Kill... etc. and was wondering if there were any kind of bands like this closer to home? I currently study media and am very into videography and would love to get a documentary/video done on a band like this. Something along these lines http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBegE14O-VE

Here's the best all girl band i know of in dublin right now,

    September Girs

Little X's for eyes and Dott, are mainly female groups with the odd lad thrown in but they have some great tunes so there worth a mention.

Interested in this too, trying to organise a Femrock sort of night and disappointed at the lack of bands; looks like VAG are on hiatus.

Kate's Party is a 50% female, pop-punk band from Dublin.

Hi, how did your research/project go??? Did you have any luck in the end? I'm part of a small volunteer group looking to create a girls rock camp, a D.I.Y punk ethic at heart, encouraging girls to make have a go & make some noise :p

We're also looking for female bands (or at least 50% female) to take part & perform in a small gig to inspire the girls. It's all born out of the Riot Girrrrrl scene from L7 days. http://girlsrockcampalliance.org/

A previous band that I was in shared a line-up with this band once :

Excellent 3-piece all-girl band, the music was nice and noisy and not unlike Sonic Youth at times.
I'm not sure if they are still active though, hopefully they might be.

Nice one Air Bass, cheers for the tip ~ I like their sound + am a fan of most of the influences listed on their page  I'll add The Civilians to our list to contact about playing Girls* Rock Camp.
