Urine Lab Testing in Ireland

I've been trying to research but can't really find any info. Is there any way to have urine tested for the bacteria culture without GP Visit? I'm after antibiotic treatment (diagnosed & prescribed while I was abroad) and just want to see if I'm all clear now after I'm back.

Like - can I just leave the sample in the lab, pay and then collect the results?
Anyone has the idea of the cost? I was given some crazy quotes like 60 euro for a visit and 40 for the test.

    Thanks for any feedback

A GP (or hospital doctor) needs to order the tests, so yes, you'll need to visit your GP. Hospital labs can't take random self-prescribed samples from the general public.

GP visits seem to average about 50-60 euro. The testing is free if the sample is sent to a public hospital.
