Think you have to change your Wii settings And put it into EDTV/HDTV mode.

It depends how it's connected. Are you using a scart connection? If so then it should be working perfectly fine once it's on the correct AV channel.

I had a problem of not being able to find an AV channel once, I had to buy a universal remote.
Most TV's only have AV/input buttons on the remotes nowadays. :(

Most I've seen still have a 'Source' button hidden somewhere on the TV itself too, which should allow you to cycle through the various inputs.
Was the Wii connected and running while you were looking, as some will only let ya pick the active inputs.

See page 5, the source button is on the top-right of the remote. It's a fairly universal icon on all TVs, it's a screen with an arrow pointing into it.

You can flick up and down the channels all day, but you won't find an AV channel :) TVs haven't had these for about ten years :)

Bottom of page 4 also shows what the source button on the TV itself looks like too, if you don't get it using the remote.

If you're connected using scart (long rectangular connection) then you'll be looking for the "EXT" sources. If you're using the yellow, red and white connections (Often on the side of the TV) then this will show up as AV once it's connected, when you're going through the sources. If it's using the yellow, blue, green, red and white component connections, it'll say Component when you get to the right source.
