    Which model is your Passat?

All the main dealers are crazy.

A Renault dealer asked for 400 euro for replacing the rear spring for my 02 clio...!! I got a pair of the parts (brand new; leading brand) online for only 80 euro. 50 euro fitted..

you'd better off finding yourself the parts online and getting it replaced by a good mechanic.

Where are you based? There is a much cheaper way for you to get sorted. The dealer will only sell the front wishbone rear bush complete with the alloy housing @ €65 each but the bush itself can be sourced separately at a fraction of the cost.

Seems a little expensive, I had the bushes on my Passat replaced for €160. That was at a local Indy mechanic though.
