    Hey guys,
I have some old lenses here with an M42 mount, does anyone know where I can get an adapter so they can be used on a Nikon (D90)?
Been doing a bit of looking, but havent found anything yet.

    Cheers for any help!

    A buddy has this one

    http://www.amazon.com/Bower-ABSN-Nikon-Mount-Adapter/dp/B0010F4INY

Try looking for Bower M42 on google to see if there's any in Ireland.

Check on ebay, you should be able to pick up glassless ones for next to nothing. However you won't be able to focus to infinity (or anywhere near it) as the flange distance of the nikon mount is bigger than M42. You can get ones with a corrective lens but the general consensus is that the cheap ones degrade the image so much as to be pretty pointless, and the expensive ones are hard to find and, well, expensive.

Thanks for that guys! I'm reluctant to buy outside of Ireland if I don't have too. Would wanna make sure if definitely fits and all that!

What Daire said. I picked up one with no corrective optic on eBay for literally a couple of quid, fits perfectly. Granted, I can't focus beyond about 6 feet, but that restriction forces certain, eh, creative decisions with one's photography ;)
